Team Cofidis ended the CRO Race on a high note! After an attacking final stage between Samobor and Zagreb, marked by Valentin Ferron's presence in the day's breakaway, Lorenzo De Longhi sprinted to 2nd place, securing the team's first podium finish of this edition. In the general classification, Sam Maisonobe finished 4th and Dylan Teuns 6th, rounding off a strong week of teamwork.
Over the 159.5 kilometres of this final stage, Team Cofidis was once again active at the front of the race. Valentin Ferron joined a five-man breakaway early on, which managed to maintain its advantage over the peloton until the final circuit in Zagreb. Despite their efforts, the breakaway was caught with nine kilometres to go.
Team Cofidis then worked together for the final intermediate sprint, allowing Clément Izquierdo to secure a few bonus seconds and move up to 11th place in the general classification. With five kilometres remaining, Sam Maisonobe launched an attack of his own but was unable to open up a gap over the peloton.
In the final sprint, Lorenzo De Longhi delivered an impressive performance to take 2nd place. A first podium finish in Cofidis colours for the 20-year-old trainee, who had already finished 4th on Stage 2.
After six days of racing, Sam Maisonobe finishes 4th overall and Dylan Teuns 6th. A strong collective performance that sees Cofidis win the team classification!

We wanted to make the race hard from the start. Valentin Ferron had the freedom to play his card and managed to get into the day's breakaway. For a long time, we believed it could make it all the way to the finish, but the peloton caught them on the final circuit.
The team then worked together to lead out Clément Izquierdo at the final intermediate sprint, allowing him to gain some bonus seconds in the general classification. The riders immediately refocused on setting up the sprint for Lorenzo De Longhi, our very promising young trainee, who secured a fantastic 2nd place.
We also held on to our positions in the general classification, with Sam Maisonobe finishing 4th and Dylan Teuns 6th. We were active in the breakaways, at the intermediate sprints and in the stage finishes. The only thing missing was a stage victory to round off a great week. With this kind of team spirit, I'm convinced we can have a strong end to the season."
