Stage 2 of the Tour of Croatia ended in a sprint finish, with our young trainee Lorenzo De Longhi securing an impressive 4th place and Sam Maisonobe retaining his 3rd place in the general classification.

“As expected, today’s stage came down to a sprint; it was a short stage at 114 kilometres, with two riders at the front. The day was fairly quiet until the final 30 kilometres, when the pace picked up on the two climbs. In the end, it all came down to a sprint, with our trainee Lorenzo De Longhi taking a fine 4th place. Sam remains well placed in the general classification, in 3rd place. The team has confirmed that it is in good form – now it’s time for the queen stage tomorrow!”
