For its third race of the week on Belgian roads, the Cofidis team lined up at the Konvert Kortrijk Koerse on Friday. After a day of racing in the rain, Martina Alzini took 7th place in the sprint.
Raced on a circuit around Kortrijk, the Konvert Kortrijk Koerse featured a typical Belgian Classics-style course, including several cobbled sections.
The rain accompanied the riders throughout the race, making the roads more demanding. Despite several attacks, the race eventually came down to a sprint.
Well positioned in the final, Martina Alzini sprinted to 7th place and secured another Top 10 in Belgium, three days after finishing 13th at the Egmont Cycling Race.

Arthur Quilliec, Sports Director:
“We spent the whole day racing in pouring rain, in really difficult conditions. We got a better result today against a stronger field, with Martina Alzini taking 7th place in the sprint. It’s more satisfying than our first two days of racing in Belgium. Given the weather conditions, we’re also happy to see all our riders make it safely to the finish.”
