It was under the Barcelona sun that the final act of the Volta Catalunya Femenina played out. A stage marked by a combative breakaway mid-race, before the sprinters' teams brought things back together in the lively streets of the Catalan capital.

Perfectly led out by her teammates right up to the final hundred metres, our sprinter Valentine Fortin secured a solid 10th place at the end of a mass sprint through the streets of Barcelona.

A great way to wrap up the race for the team, following Valentine Fortin's 3rd place on stage 1, Malwina Mul's 6th place, and Nikola Noskova's 11th place on yesterday's queen stage.

Reaction from Arthur Quilliec, sports director:

"We started this third stage with the sprint in mind. We knew we could do well, and the real goal was to finish this last stage on a high note. We showed a great face out there, and there was real satisfaction in seeing this collective effort, especially from a group made up mostly of climbers who aren't necessarily used to working for a sprint. A bit of disappointment as Valentine Fortin wasn't able to finish it off, with 10th place today. But what I'll take away most is the real team spirit we showed over these three days of racing."
