A remarkable performance.
The reaction
Valérie Alexandre, sports director:
“Today marks the final day of this third and final World Cup round, featuring the road races. It was quite an eventful day. Katell Alençon raced this morning and finished in a solid sixth place. This afternoon, we had high hopes for Eliott Pierre’s C5 race. He finished in ninth place, which is still a bit of a disappointment for us. But hey, he did the best he could with the energy he had today, and the others were stronger—there’s nothing else to say. Arthur Bauchet finished third in his race, after a great sprint from the peloton. He could have done better, but he followed the French team’s instructions. There was a French rider out in front, so he refused to ride over him, which is to his credit. But still, a great third place.
The best news of the day, though, is Louis Hubert’s victory once again—he really won it all in these World Cup rounds. He also clinched the overall 2026 World Cup standings, so it’s a great finish for him and for us.”
