Stage 7 of the Presidential Tour of Turkey took place this Saturday on a circuit around Antalya, 152 km with around 600 metres of elevation gain. The rain at the start led the organisation to cancel time bonuses at the intermediate sprint and the finish.

Four riders animated the race in the breakaway, caught in the final 25 kilometres. In the finale, a slippery last corner 1 km from the finish made things complicated. Stanisław Aniołkowski got caught in the sprint and couldn't play his card.

Gorka Gerrikagoitia, sports director:

« A flat stage today of 150 km. The goal was to sprint with Stanislaw Aniolkowski. Sprint finish. A slightly complicated finish with slippery corners in the final kilometres. We tried to set up the sprint with Stan, the team worked well but he got boxed in on the final straight and couldn't sprint. He's disappointed because he had good legs today. »
