For its 90th anniversary, the Flèche Wallonne delivered another day of high intensity in the Ardennes. Ion Izagirre finished a solid 7th at the top of the Mur de Huy, with Alex Aranburu crossing the line in 14th place and Dylan Teuns in 21st, he who had won the race back in 2022 on that same Mur de Huy, which once again proved decisive over its 1.3 km at 9.6%.

After a six-man breakaway early in the race, the pressure built steadily throughout the day. From the very first passage over the Mur, the battle was on. It was ultimately a group of around fifty riders that lined up at the foot of the climb to fight it out in the final ascent. At his eleventh appearance at the race, Ion Izagirre claimed his first top 10 at the Flèche Wallonne, a sign of good form ahead of Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

Bingen Fernandez, Sporting Director:

"We're happy with the team today. Ion Izagirre showed he has real weapons and that he is in good shape. He put in a strong climb to take a fine 7th place. Alex Aranburu finishes 14th and Dylan Teuns 21st. Overall, it was a positive race for the team."
