Paris-Roubaix 2025: Preparation, precision and Air-Liner Road
Paris-Roubaix is much more than just a one-day race. It is a gruelling weekend for both the riders and the entire team, punctuated by a course reconnaissance on Thursday, final preparations, and the grand start on Sunday morning. In this unique environment, every detail counts – and the tyres are no exception.
To tackle the cobbled sections of the Hell of the North, the Cofidis riders will be relying on Vittoria Air-Liner Road tyres in 30 and 32 mm, a solution adopted exclusively for this occasion.

Preparing for Paris-Roubaix is a long-term process
In the race department, nothing is left to chance. Wheel testing and tyre pressure adjustments began back in December, several months before the big race. This long-term preparation is a testament to the care the technical staff puts into every race.
The result: the 45 Paris-Roubaix-specific wheels have been ready for a month now. The bikes, meanwhile, are prepared using race simulations from the reconnaissance ride on Thursday. And on Sunday morning, before the start, the tyre pressures are checked repeatedly right up until the last moment.
