A lively race, a combative team. The squad showed great intentions on this major Italian classic on the Women's WorldTour calendar.

The Trofeo Alfredo Binda is 140 kilometres through the rolling roads of Lombardy, with a final circuit to be covered several times, made for puncheurs, with no breathing space.

Cofidis approached this classic with ambition. Early in the race, Hannah Ludwig went on the attack, riding solo at the front with up to 1'30 over the peloton. A bold move, eventually caught at halfway. At the same time, Nikola Noskova made her mark on the climbs, finishing second in the QOM classification, beaten only by Silvia Persico. Towards the end of the race, Nadia Quagliotto just missed the move in the penultimate lap to go with the group racing for fourth place. A breakaway formed and stayed away to the finish.

We played the climbers' classification with Nikola Noskova, and she finished only behind Silvia Persico in the QOM standings. During the race, we had Hannah Ludwig in the breakaway from the start, we hoped some other riders would join her, but nobody wanted to go. So she ended up alone for about sixty kilometres. Towards the end of the race, Nadia Quagliotto just missed the move in the penultimate lap to go with the group that was racing for fourth place. We will take away the commitment of the whole team on this Italian classic.
