Stage 6 of Paris-Nice featured a hilly profile between Barbentane and Apt over 179.3 km, with nearly 2,075 metres of elevation gain. Perfect terrain for puncheurs and breakaway specialists. The Cofidis team rose to the occasion with a display of solidarity and collective commitment. Five riders, one single goal: give everything for Bryan Coquard.

From the very start, Cofidis led the chase behind the four breakaway riders. Benjamin Thomas rode alone at the front for many kilometres, before Louis Rouland and Alex Kirsch took over. In the finale, Ion Izagirre also got on the front to set up Bryan Coquard for the sprint, where he finished 4th. Ion Izagirre consolidates his 7th place in the general classification.

Bryan Coquard's reaction:

"What a crazy day. We were only 5 and we decided to do everything for me today. The team had faith, and it showed. My legs were really good, but I was running on empty in the final metres. I think we can be proud of ourselves. We're showing a great image of Cofidis."

Sébastien Hinault's reaction, sporting director:

"We stuck to the plan from this morning. It's not the win, but finishing 4th with that kind of spirit, I think that's great. Bryan sacrificed himself for Ion over the last few days, today it was the other way around. He handles the climbs really well and still has that finishing speed — it can allow him to win some great races."
