Stage 3 of Paris-Nice featured a 23.5-kilometre team time trial between Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire and Pouilly-sur-Loire. A key moment for the general classification, where every second counts. On a slightly undulating course (around 213 metres of elevation gain) but overall fast and rolling, the challenge was to strike the right balance between power, pacing and team cohesion.
A strong collective effort rewarded
United and focused, the team completed the time trial in 27 minutes and 22 seconds, securing 10th place on the stage. The performance confirms the squad’s progress in this demanding discipline.
Reaction from Bingen Fernandez, Sports Director
“It’s one of the best team time trials Cofidis has delivered in recent years The whole team can be proud of this performance. It’s the result of long-term collective work, preparation carried out beforehand by the technical staff, and specific training done ahead of Paris-Nice. The riders showed great solidarity and it paid off.
We now approach the second part of the race with enthusiasm and ambition. Ion (Izagirre) has shown since the start of the week that he’s in good shape and can aim for a strong overall result. And all the riders are determined to keep taking their chances and seize every opportunity until the very end!”
