On Tuesday, during the press conference to launch the cycling team, the new identity of the Cofidis brand was unveiled. This change marks a key stage in the group's development in Europe: it affirms a renewed ambition and strengthens the consistency, clarity and impact of the brand in all the countries where it operates. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the unbreakable bond between the Cofidis group and all the riders in its cycling team.
It's only a short step from the spotlight to the excitement of racing. While Cofidis' new identity was unveiled at a press conference in Paris on Tuesday morning, the new jersey was worn for the first time several hundred kilometres away, in Belgium, on the roads of Le Samyn. This jersey has become the most beautiful symbol of the Cofidis brand's new identity.
Breathing new life into the brand
The new graphic charter retains Cofidis' iconic red and yellow colours, while warming them up to convey greater closeness, energy and kindness. The brand symbol becomes ‘the Momentum’, an open shape projected towards the future that embodies a movement towards others, a radiance, a new clarity. Combined with a denser, more legible and more assertive typography, this evolution reflects the solidity, confidence and cohesion that underpin the group's relationship with its customers. The entire charter is designed to be both modern and warm, accurately illustrating the daily commitment of the employees.
‘It's a way of clearly and forcefully affirming our identity, our uniqueness and our ambition,’enthuses Gilles Sauret, Chairman of the Cofidis Group Management Board. Promoting the Cofidis teams
Bringing Cofidis' DNA to life
This new identity and its colours will now be those of the Cofidis team. The riders of the ProTeam, the women's team and the para-cycling team will therefore be wearing them from this Tuesday afternoon onwards.
‘Wearing these new colours will undoubtedly be a new source of motivation to continue riding the wave of momentum that has been building since the start of the season,’ says Raphaël Jeune, general manager.
‘We've had a good start to the season and, naturally, that makes us want to keep going and win more,’says Bryan Coquard with a smile.
Next Sunday, the Cofidis team will compete in Paris-Nice, the first French World Tour race of the season, wearing the new jersey. After a very good start to the season, marked by three victories (Bryan Coquard at the GP La Marseillaise and in Greece, and Milan Fretin at the Ruta del Sol) and numerous honourable placings, the riders are keen to continue their momentum. They are fiercely committed to showing self-sacrifice, pushing themselves beyond their limits and playing an active role in every race they compete in. And they all have the firm intention of showing off their new colours throughout the season.
THEY SAID
Gilles Sauret, Chairman of the Cofidis Group Management Board:
"With over forty years of history and expertise shared by millions of customers across Europe, the Cofidis brand is clearly asserting its identity, uniqueness and ambition. As it evolves, it must remain clear, consistent and accessible to as many people as possible. This evolution is based on three core values: commitment, performance and simplicity in the service of our customers, the real economy and a sense of community. I am delighted that the announcement of this change of identity is taking place at the same time as the team's press conference. Cycling has been part of Cofidis' DNA for thirty years and we are all very proud to know that our riders will be wearing these new colours and will strive to make them shine. "
Raphaël Jeune, general manager of the Cofidis team:
"We have entered this new era for the Cofidis team with determination and ambition. These new colours and this new logo are the best demonstration of our renewed spirit and commitment to every race. Since the off-season, we have been working hard to improve every aspect of our performance. Collectively, we are committed to strengthening our momentum to perform well throughout the year. Our goal is clear: to be visible, aggressive and proudly wear the new colours of the Cofidis brand in the world's most prestigious races."
