Bryan has struck again! Winner of his first race of the season, the GP La Marseillaise, Bryan Coquard has triumphed once more in Greece, after a fiercely contested group race. With a packed weekend of races ahead, the Cofidis team will be doing everything it can to keep up this momentum!

It's a feeling he knows all too well. Crossing the finish line in first place, feeling the adrenaline rush before being congratulated and feeling a little lighter. Bryan Coquard has won again, and the pleasure is still the same. A few weeks after his victorious sprint at the GP La Marseillaise, it was in Greece that ‘Le Coq’ made his mark. For the first time in its history, the Cofidis team competed in the Visit South Aegean GP, and it was a success.

Already the third victory of the year!

True to their spirit since the start of the season, the Cofidis riders worked hard to control the race. They took turns at the front of the peloton and set the pace. All of them managed to stay in the leading positions in the final, enough to put Bryan Coquard in the best possible position at the end of the last climb. The impressive team performance was also reflected in Clément Izquierdo's fifth place, confirming his rise to prominence already glimpsed at the Étoile de Bessèges.

By raising his arms in victory in Greece, Bryan Coquard secured the 54th win of his career. He has now won in nine different countries since turning professional. This is also the third win of the season after his victory in the GP La Marseillaise and Milan Fretin's win last week in the Ruta del Sol. Once again, the Cofidis riders have shown that they approach every race with ambition and a fierce determination to shine. In Greece, the winning streak could continue tomorrow with the Region on Dodecanese GP. Watch this space!

They said

Bryan Coquard:

"It was a difficult finish, after a final 2 km climb. When we checked it out yesterday, I didn't know if it would be within my capabilities. The idea was to play my card and that of Clément (Izquierdo), who is in great shape. Races where you're the favourite are never easy, but we rode perfectly. We manoeuvred really well throughout the race and were still in contention at the end. I was able to make my move at the last moment and I'm very happy to have won!"

Evaldas Siskevicius, sports director:

"I'm very happy and very proud of our team. We had identified two options for success: either play the Bryan Coquard card or play the Clément Izquierdo card. The breakaway formed quickly and we soon took control of the peloton, particularly with Nicolas Debeaumarché. In the last 20 kilometres, they worked hard to stay in the leading positions. In the end, Bryan put in a talented effort. And with Clément Izquierdo's 5th place, it's a 10/10 for the whole team!"
