While part of the squad is mobilized for Paris-Nice (2nd stage this Monday) and Tirreno-Adriatico (1st stage), another group of riders is starting a preparation camp this Monday in Aix-en-Provence. The goal? To perfect their conditions and to tackle the rest of the season with ambition and determination.

There are not only races in the life of a professional runner. Throughout the season, training courses are organized. After the first one in December in Dénia (Spain), then another one in January, in Calpe, some of the riders will meet from this Monday in the south of France, in Aix-en-Provence. Young runners - Hugo Toumire, Harrison Wood, Axel Mariault, Eddy Finé, Thomas Champion - and others more experienced (Wesley Kreder, François Bidard) who will take advantage of this opportunity to perfect their condition and gain experience.

"Accompany them as much as possible

"We try to offer as many meeting points as possible throughout the season to bring the riders together," says Vincent Terrier, the team's coach and course leader. The program includes training routines, time trial position adjustments and improving team cohesion. "We have identified this group with young riders that we want to support as much as possible to help them progress. This training course, with two major stage races taking place, seemed to come at the right time, especially since the weather is better than elsewhere in France!

This week of training, which will run until next Friday, is also an opportunity to strengthen the links with the Aix-en-Provence club - the AVC Aix - which are already very strong with Cofidis Compétition. Thus, throughout the course, the club's licensees will join the professional riders to train together and take advantage of this rapprochement between the two entities.
