Following a first stage already dominated by Nikola Nosková, the Cofidis team once again took charge on the roads of the Tour de France Femmes. Between Aigle and Geneva, the 147.9-kilometer stage was set to be a sprinter’s race.
Once again, Team Cofidis was represented at the front. Ema Comte slipped into the day’s breakaway. Very active, the French rider took advantage of the opportunity to earn valuable points in the mountains classification. This was a smart move that puts her in a strong position ahead of the third stage, between Geneva and Poligny, where several climbs will offer a real opportunity to aim for the polka-dot jersey.
Despite the breakaway’s efforts, the peloton caught up in the final stretch, setting the stage for a showdown among the sprinters in the streets of Geneva. Well supported by her teammates, Malwina Mul confirmed the strong form she showed during the first stage. In her very first appearance at the Tour de France Femmes, the Polish rider secured a promising Top 10 finish, taking a solid 9th place in the sprint.
After two days of racing, Cofidis has reaffirmed its ambition to be a major contender in this 2026 edition. Active in breakaways, competing for the secondary classifications, and now in the top 10 of a mass finish, the team heads into the third stage with a strong case to make.

"It was great to be out front; it felt good. I think I learned a lot for the future. Today, there were three of us girls who had to try to get into the breakaway. When I saw the three of us break away, I told myself it was the right moment. I attacked again with Anouska Koster (Uno-X Mobility) and we made it back to the peloton, so that was cool. It was a tough stage—the pace was super fast. It was pretty tough because of the heat, too. Everyone was grabbing water bottles as soon as they could. It was hard to manage."
